What is PMC -
* Precious Metal Clay ('PMC') was developed by Mitsubishi, Japan, in early
1991. It consists of pure silver suspended in an organic binder to create
a pliable material similar to modeling clay. After the object is formed
it is fired in a kiln at 1470-1650 degrees for 30 minutes to 2 hours
(the formed piece will shrink 30%-50% during firing) resulting in a
finished product that can be hallmarked and will assay as 100% PURE
Silver (.999 - Fine Silver). For more information about PMC visit the PMC Guild at www.pmclay.com |
